Stevie O’Connor might just be starting to reap the rewards of 2 years of hard work and relentless live performances as his recent nomination for the UK Country Radio Male Singer of the year award marks independent recognition from a respected source on the UK Country scene. A performance earlier in the year on the main stage at Buckle and Boots festival showed further progress as Stevie played with a full band for the first time, his work over the last 6 months with MHMG evident as he delivered a high energy set to a thunderous reception.
Further appearances at Dixie Fields Festival and FSA Festival build to a main stage appearance in Scotland at Millport Country Music Festival where Stevie plays alongside country royalty Cam, with festival promoter Gavin Chittick quoted as saying: “We are very excited that Stevie will be playing on the Millport Country Music Festival Nashfield Stage. Cam is going to have quite an act to follow!”
Surely more accolades are to follow for this exciting British artist who is evidently mixing it with the best from the UK and US.
Catch Stevie at Dixie Fields with his band as he headlines the opening night party. It’s sure to be full of surprises and if you haven’t seen Stevie before, the Dixie Fields stage is one that is sure to draw one of his best live shows to date.
